What is the duration of the courses?
Most of our courses are 12 to 15 months long, depending on the program and schedule chosen.
What are the requirements to enroll in Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts?
We require a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a passion for massage therapy and a desire to learn.
Is KCHA right for me?
Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts is dedicated to providing individualized training for each student. Our staff are available to assist you when you need it. Every instructor is trained in helping students to be successful in the classroom. The program is set up so that upon completion you are one of the best trained therapists in the country.

Will I be successful as a Licensed Massage Therapist?
94% of KCHA graduates are working as Massage Therapists upon graduation! We do everything we can to ensure your success. From the Student Success Workshop at the beginning of the program to Graduation day, each student is provided with the tools required to be a successful licensed massage therapist in this ever expanding field.
What is it like to be a Licensed Massage Therapist?
A career in massage therapy can be one of the most satisfying professions in health care. The opportunity to assist others in their healing process is incredibly rewarding. As a massage therapist, you can choose your hours, what type of setting you work in and what types of clients you work with. It is a profession that can be customized to fit who you are. In a nutshell, being a massage therapist is whatever you make it to be!
How easy is it to get a job?
94% of KCHA graduates are employed after graduation. You will be a member of a highly respected and sought out group. Employers repeatedly tell us that they will hire only KCHA graduates. When do classes begin?
Classes start quarterly, and vary based on the schedule needs on incoming students. Email admissions@kcha.com to find out which courses are starting next.
What is Student Clinic?
Student Clinic is a 50-minute massage from a student in the Professional Massage Training Program in a classroom setting. There is an overseer present and the students are in the final stretch of the curriculum, ready for some hands-on training! You will be asked to fill out several forms before your visit: Health History, COVID-19 Screening, etc. You can also expect to give written and verbal feedback to your student practitioner after each session, this helps our students to practice and grow in a safe and supported environment.
What is the cost of the program?
Our total program cost is $12,812. Additional expenses to get started include the latest edition of Massage Therapy: Principles and Practice, along with a set of massage table sheets.
Do you accept financial aid?
We do not currently accept FASFA but we do accept local grants and scholarships.
What will my payment plans look like?
We partner with a company called MiaShare so that we can offer you a customized payment plan that will fit your needs as a student with no interest or fees.
