Students Surpassed MBLEx National Pass Rate

We are dedicated to the success of every student that walks through our doors. From the Student Success Workshop at the beginning of the program to Graduation day, each student is provided with the tools required to be a successful licensed massage therapist in this ever expanding field.

The MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination) is governed by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards FSMTB). It is designed to provide a standard examination for students of Massage for entry-level professional scope of practice in gaining licensure. The exam has eight concentrated areas of content: Client assessment, reassessment, and treatment plans, Benefits and Physiological effects of Techniques, Pathology with Contraindications, areas of Caution, and Special Populations, Massage and Bodywork Modalities/ Culture/ History, Ethics- Boundaries-Laws & Regulations, Guidelines for Professional Practice, Kinesiology, and Anatomy & Physiology.

With the support of the Institute for Massage Education staff and our student's dedication to learning, we are happy to announce that of our students that attempted the MBLEx for the first time in 2016, they had a pass rate of 100%, surpassing the national pass rate of 71.4% for first time attempts.
