Taste of Massage - A Free Workshop

Course description

We are so excited to offer the gift of massage education to our community during our monthly Taste of Massage workshops. Each month we will explore a different segment of massage therapy. No two workshops are the same. Anyone is welcome to join us for these free workshops. Absolutely no massage experience is necessary to participate. We encourage you to bring a friend and join us for an evening of fun and knowledge.

Upcoming Workshops

After joining us, you'll walk away unable to deny the power of bodywork. Regardless of the adjectives we use to describe massage (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management), massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.

Chair Massage - Wednesday, July 19, 2017 (6-8 PM)

Explore Chair Massage, a style of seated massage that is typically short and focuses on your back, shoulders, neck and arms. Participants will learn various techniques that can used on family and friends.

Hand & Foot Reflexology - Wednesday, August 16, 2017 (6-8 PM)

Experience hand and foot reflexology. Reflexology involves the application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

Barefoot Shiatsu - Wednesday, September 20, 2017 (6-8 PM)

Explore Shiatsu, a Japanese form of bodywork that focuses on the framework of traditional Japanese medicine. During this course, we'll explore Barefoot Shiatsu. Participants will learn various techniques that use the feet to apply pressure to viarious points along the body and thus correct imbalances and open up energy channels.
